Born in Washington, DC, Kamille Upshaw started dancing at the age of three. As a young dancer, she trained in all genres of dance at Pizzazz dance studio, C&C dance company & Spotlight Studio of dance. Kamille graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2007. She is a recipient of the Washington Post scholarship and numerous other awards. During her time at The Juilliard School Kamille has received the opportunity to work with choreographers including Darrell Grand Moultrie, Larry Keigwin and Stijn Celis. She has also performed masterpieces such as Twyla Tharp’s The Fugue, Merce Cunningham’s Summerspace, BronislavaNijinska’s Les Noces and Elliot Feld’s Skara Brae. As a 2011 Juilliard Graduate, Kamille has worked with Darrell Grand Moultrie, The Metropolitan Opera “Faust”, Rasta Thomas's Bad Boys of Dance 2011-2012 Tour season, Alicia Keys on the BET Honors, graced the cover of the 2013 July/August issue of Dance Spirit Magazine, First National tour of "Flashdance the Musical", Aspen Santa Fe ballet, Radio City Spring Spectacular 2015, Hamilton: An American Musical and now “Mean Girls” the musical, on Broadway.
